In 23rd of July 2026, ICEYE and KT SAT started their new partnership on the grounds of advanced flood monitoring to South Korean government agencies and commercial organizations. KT SAT will work with ICEYE data products generated straight from the Finnish company's SAR satellite constellation to obtain near real-time hazard monitoring and flood damage intelligence that provides a faster, more informed disaster response.
KT SAT will provide GIS data solutions that are ready to use for the South Korean market, including land subsidence & flood monitoring. enabling customers to improve situational awareness before, during and after such disasters. Furthermore, the Korean Government will utilize ICEYE's Flood Rapid Impact solution during the annual monsoon season. Within hours of the first signs pf a flood event, the data delivers detailed flood extend maps obtained from SAR satellites, providing emergency managers with a near real-time understanding of a flood's scale and the areas most affected through any weather conditions and darkness.
Lastly, the partnership is expected to develop over time and provide commercial customers and local government agencies with satellite derived data solutions for environmental monitoring, border resilience planning and emergency management.
